ponder

well, i emailed my buddy jeremy. he's been a model for 7 years and he's only 21. we met on friendsters (ha ha), i was going to meet up with him at coachella but it'll have to wait for some other time.

i gave him the story and he gave me some pretty sound advice. check with other models who work with the agency. be careful when signing anything. try and get around putting money out initially by doing test shoots with newer photographers. all stuff i pretty much know, but it was good to hear from someone who has been there.

he did mention that eventually, it will come down to putting some money out. the how and when may vary, but inevitably i'll have to put out some cash. it takes money to make money and all that.

a while back i asked him about his experience and he said it's alot easier for guys than it is for girls. and there is the trap of models sleeping with folk to further their careers, which he saw a lot of. he also got shafted a couple times by people ripping him off.

i guess one has to be careful who they work with.

i do more or less have the money to invest in it. but i have to be fully on board before i make the decision. or else i'll be fucked if i'm just waffling and not putting my full energy into it.

for the moment i'll feel the situation out some more. talk to phillip on monday. see what he says. see what happens.
