i've had such a wonderful day with baby boy. he's sleeping now, thank god. wearing his blue academy of sciences t-shirt. the shirt seemed so big for him when matteo bought it. it just about fits perfectly now. he stole a geode for me that day also. a pink one.

we went to go see a movie on solano. next door to the theater is hannah's store, a kids shop. baby boy walked up and saw the umbrellas he'd been eyeing earlier when we went to zachary's. he walked over, picked one out and took it to the counter. "mommy, we need to get this." apparently we are buying an umbrella, says i. it is kid size with rainbow stripes and a yellow handle. we were quite a sight walking across the street, umbrella open, on a clear night.

i think it is a full moon. and maybe the clocks change tonight.
