oh how sunshine lightens the heart. the darkness of last night cleared away by a good night's rest - as is always the case when i have episodes like that. i have had a lovely day. purging the various worries and fears that were weighing on my mind has left me lighter, happier. with a new perspective and a clearer focus on where i need to put my energy.

it is a blessed feeling. i love my family and my friends. and as i learn, i realize, that in this world, they are the only endeavor that is truly important. everything else; wealth, social status, career, cannot compare to the significance of the bonds shared between people. jobs, money, fame, can come and go as easily as the seasons change. family, and a family of friends are the penultimate. nothing is stronger than those bonds. nothing is as significant or golden.

and i must say, the nasty phone call cheered me as well. ;)
