White rabbits chase Wall spackle hedgehogs In a fruit bowl sky of blueberrie ice. A light static rushes, Dampening the heather In the garden where a doe lingers, Ears twitching, sensing danger. Humming and orange The tense skylark glistens Pondering and flailing, Too much forgotten. And yet a lion sleeps soundly Under the sequoia, aware but not caring Lost in a honeysuckle daydream Watching the monkey preparing for travels. Lilac Castle builds a fortress of apples; The Bakers wait for clover; A feast of soup and delectables When trumpets sound the arrival.
